Leadership Highlights

Literacy Leadership:

• Served as Chairperson of the Florida Teens Read Committee (FTR) for two years, leading a statewide team to select, promote, and evaluate high-interest young adult literature for grades 9–12. Coordinated meetings, managed selection timelines, and presented at statewide conferences.

Student Trip Leadership:

• Organized and led all logistics for a 3-day 8th grade student trip to New York City, including Broadway, historical sites, and cultural institutions

• Currently planning a 2028 international student trip to London with interdisciplinary learning connections in literature, history, and the arts.

Curriculum & Program Development:

• Designed and led schoolwide literacy initiatives including author visits, book challenges, and student-led book clubs.

• Collaborated with educators to integrate digital tools, research skills, and inquiry-based learning into curriculum.

Instructional Technology & Schoolwide Communication:

• Held roles as Building Technology Coordinator, Canvas LMS point-of-contact, and school Webmaster, providing training and support to staff.

• Promoted effective communication and instructional practices through consistent tech integration.
